Masudur Rahman was the founding president of CanCham Bangladesh, established in 2005, and
was re-elected to the position multiple times. Masudur Rahman, president of the Canada
Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CanCham Bangladesh), passed away on 5
March 2025. He was also the Managing Director of Crane Ltd and Chairman of Asia Securities
Ltd.
In a statement, CanCham Bangladesh expressed deep sorrow over his demise, stating, “The void
so created in CanCham Bangladesh will never be filled.”
The organization also extended prayers for the departed soul and for his family, seeking strength
for them to bear the irreparable loss. The Board organized the milad majhfil in the Gulshan Club
in order to pray for salvation of the departed soul of Late President Masudur Rahman.
