The 20th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of CanCham Bangladesh was held on Wednesday, 10 December 2025 at 1:00 PM in Rajanigandha Hall, 1st Floor, Gulshan Club, Dhaka.

Membership Procedure
1. Submission of EOI for Membership
Any company interested in becoming a member of CanCham Bangladesh may submit a Membership Expression of Interest (EOI) via email to info@canchambangladesh.org
2. Request for Documents
The CanCham Bangladesh Secretariat requests the applicant’s Company Profile, along with a copy of the Trade License and, if applicable, an Agreement with a Canadian company.
3. Committee Review
The EOI and documents are forwarded to the Membership Committee for evaluation.
4. Application Form
If the Committee is satisfied, the Secretariat provides the Membership Application Form to the applicant company.
5. Submission of Application
The applicant completes and returns the filled form to CanCham Bangladesh.
6. Membership Fees
The Secretariat informs the applicant of the applicable membership fees.
7. Approval of Membership
Upon completion of all requirements, the company becomes a member of CanCham Bangladesh. Membership is valid for one year and renewable annually.

CanCham Bangladesh reshuffled the Board of Directors
In the 123rd Board Meeting of CanCham Bangladesh, the Board unanimously elected Mr. Mohammad Kamal Uddin, Vice President, as the new President. The proposal was placed by Mr. A. K. M. Fareyzul Haque Ansarey and seconded by Mr. Ali Bakhtiar Mahmud. Pursuant to the Articles of Association and legal opinion from M/s Ruskin Global, the Board also resolved to co-opt Mr. Mostofa Qumrus Sobhan, Managing Director of Dragon Sweater Bangladesh Ltd. and member of CanCham Bangladesh, as a Director. He may also assume the responsibilities of Vice President in due course.
Relocation of CanCham Bangladesh Office
After operating in Concord Tower, Banglamotor, Dhaka for the past 20 years, CanCham Bangladesh has officially relocated its office to new premises at Flat A2, House 75, Road No. 04, Block-, Banani, Dhaka 1214, effective from 01 July 2025. The new office space measures 1,380 square feet.
CanCham Bangladesh President Masudur Rahman passes away
Masudur Rahman was the founding president of CanCham Bangladesh, established in 2005, and was re-elected to the position multiple times. Masudur Rahman, president of the Canada Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CanCham Bangladesh), passed away on 5 March 2025. He was also the Managing Director of Crane Ltd and Chairman of Asia Securities Ltd. In a statement, CanCham Bangladesh expressed deep sorrow over his demise, stating, “The void so created in CanCham Bangladesh will never be filled.” The organization also extended prayers for the departed soul and for his family, seeking strength for them to bear the irreparable loss. The Board organized the milad majhfil in the Gulshan Club in order to pray for salvation of the departed soul of Late President Masudur Rahman.
Aircraft Purchase from Canada: Biman’s new Dash-8 arrives in Dhaka
The third Dash-8 aircraft purchased from Canada arrived in Dhaka yesterday afternoon. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has named it “Shwet Bolaka”.
